WHAT IS A BUSINESS PURPOSE VISA?

When coming to South Africa for a business conference, meetings, or training, or needing to attend a seminar or look into business opportunities, you should apply for the Business Purpose Visa. This Visa can be issued for up to 90 days and in most cases, can be extended. However, you cannot take up work in South Africa while on this visa.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY FOR A BUSINESS PURPOSE VISA?

The requirements to apply for a Business Purpose Visa are:

1. Valid passport expiring no less than 30 days after end of intended visit.
2. Proof of a return flight booking.
3. Proof of adequate funds to cover stay in South Africa, or proof of financial support from sponsoring company.
4. A letter from the business inviting the applicant to South Africa as well as confirmation of activities or business he or she will undertake.

REQUIREMENTS FOR A BUSINESS WORK VISA EXTENSION

1. Valid passport expiring no less than 30 days after end of intended visit.
2. Documentation or statement with detailed purpose as well of duration of the trip.
3. Proof of onward or return ticket or proof of adequate funds to purchase such a ticket.
4. Proof of sufficient funds to accommodate stay in South Africa.
